PEACE - ISIS 11/7/2007 Here We Come Again ::: (11.07.07) Thanks again first of all to everyone who came to be a part of these shows with us on the east coast... we really had an amazing time. Between getting to see Oxbow again every night (who were on f'n fire), having the rare opportunity to play with Ayal and Maria from 27, watching Jim Clouds tossing his cookies on stage at the Middle East and celebrating a birthday on the same stage a half-hour later, the fun just didn't seem to end. Luckily it will continue in a few days when we make our way up the 5 to Seattle and see all our friends up north. We've just been informed that we will be one of the headliners at next spring's ROADBURN Festival in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Also performing will be Celtic Frost, Witchcraft, Electric Wizard, and many more. The fest is April 17 - 19, 2007, with ISIS performing on Friday the 18th. Many of you have been inquiring about the vinyl box set, ITAOT singles, and Oceanic DVD - They will all be out soon we promise! BORIS, OXBOW 4/23/2007 UPDATE, PROPS AND EUROPE NEWS! hello everyone, we've been home from our US tour for a couple weeks and we're finally starting to collect ourselves and feeling rested - just in time to go out and do it all over again, though this time on foreign soil. the US tour was a blast as expected, thanks in no small part to the wonderful traveling party, which included but was not limited to: jesu, torche, zozobra, intronaut, and oxbow. these bands and the folks that comprise them played a huge part in making this tour the smashing success that it was, so we'd like to send our gratitude to all of them as well as everyone else that contributed to the tour in any way, shape, or form. most importantly however, we'd like to thank all of you who came out to one or more of the shows - without out you there would have been, well, nothing..... ...and now we look to the future. seems our european tour is just about sewn up, with just a few more minor details to confirm. it looks like we're hitting most of the usual spots, along with a couple new ones, and a host of festivals as well. needless to say we're quite excited about all of this since it's been some time since our last trip in that direction, and we're hoping it will exceed our expectations as it has just about every time in the past. we've rounded up some fellow travelers to haul along with us, and at the moment we can tell you that there are confirmed bills which will include: oxbow, the oxbow acoustic duo (aka oxbow presents love's holiday), boris, and ktl. there are a few other surprises in store as far as the tour line up goes, but we'll hold off on that info until everything is firmed up. in release related news, we have a few things to mention, some pertaining directly to isis, others only in a peripheral sense - i.e. side projects, new collaborations, etc. first off, it looks like the "oceanic" 2xlp re-release from level plane is only a short time away from release now. there were some hold ups due to faulty test pressings, but it looks like things are finally getting worked out so this set can once again see the light of day. the repressing of the "celestial" 2xlp on escape artists has all but sold out, with the few remaining copies now on their way to our webstore for imminent posting. the ever gracious conspiracy records will also be releasing "celestial" on vinyl in the next couple months, hopefully in time to coincide with the european tour. the cd version of "live IV" has been wiped out after this last US tour, but the vinyl version of that release is finally underway courtesy of robotic empire - no exact release date has been set for that just yet. still/potentially in the works are the following: complete studio recordings vinyl box set, a DVD of the ATP performance of "oceanic" in it's entirety, live V cd/ lp, and a collaboration of some sort with tim hecker... stay tuned for more details on that stuff. in related projects news isis guitarist mike gallagher has just released a new album on neurot recordings, an album by mgr vs sirdss called "impromptu"; isis guitarist/vocalist aaron turner has a new collaboration with craig dongoski entitled "drawing voices" just released on hydra head; isis keyboardist/guitarist bryant meyer is currently on the road with red sparowes, and we've all got our hands in a couple other pots at the moment as well - more details as things solidify.... i'm sure there's a lot more we're forgetting at the moment, but hopefully this is enough to tide you over for a while.... thank you and....... Paper bag edition is just limited to 500 (250 clear, 250 red) and INOXIA has 300 for the international mailorder. Once they are all gone, standard colored vinyls are available. Apparently they are moving very fast though. 12/12/2006 MASSIVE ISIS VINYL UPDATE!! Hello Everyone.... We know some of you have been anxiously awaiting the vinyl version of "In The Absence Of Truth", and the wait is over...... sort of. The European pressing of ITAOT is finished and in circulation courtesy of Conspiracy Records, and we (ISIS) will have some copies of that version available through the webstore very soon. The US version of ITAOT being released via Robotic Empire, should hit stores in late january and may also be available through our webstore shortly before that. Both versions feature the same artwork, though slight alterations have been made to both, and the vinyl colors and labels are different as well. The same holds true for the forthcoming Japanese vinyl version of ITAOT, being released by the ever wonderful Daymare Recordings. The Daymare version will come housed in a paper bag (a la Led Zeppelin's "In Through The Out Door"), it will have a Japanese OBI/side strip, and unlike the US and European versions will be limited to only 1000 copies. Inoxia records will be hosting a preorder for the Japanese version on it's website, so stay tuned for updates on that. We will also be selling at least one of these versions on all of our upcoming tours. In other vinyl news, the 2xLP version of "Live III" is now available from the mighty Profound Lore label. Pressed in a one time edition of 700 copies, this set was pressed on white and clear vinyl in roughly equal amounts, i.e. approx 350 of each. We will most likely not be selling these through the webstore, but we will be bringing our copies on the road. Next up - the "Red Sea" redux - though originally pressed on 8" vinyl, "red sea" has now been rereleased as a 12" to include the original demo material omitted from the 8" version of that title. This record is out thanks to second nature recordings, and has been pressed on limited 180 gram black vinyl, as well as about 5 other colors. also just in is the vinyl version of our "In The Fishtank" collaboration with Aereogramme from the same label that released the CD version, that being Konkurrent from the Netherlands. We don't have exact pressing info on the fishtank LP, but we do know it's been pressed on blue and black vinyl, the blue vinyl is all sold out (minus the copies we'll be bringing on the road), and all future pressings will be black vinyl only. both the "Red Sea" 12" and the "Fishtank" LP are available or will be shortly from our webstore AND we'll be taking them on the road as well. So we have posted our dates for our January jaunt thru Japan, this time with BORIS and These Arms Are Snakes... if your around the Japan area it would be great to see you at what should be some killer shows. You may have noticed we posted some Australian dates recently, a bit prematurely unfortunately... but no worries WILL be coming over following the JAPAN tour, we just had to sort a couple items and will be posting the official dates shortly. We also have our Spring US tour dates floating in, as soon as we know better we will be sure to let you know. Aaron H. 10/31/2006 WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE! So besides 2 new recordings and a DVD we have constructed a new website that will hopefully be a little easier to navigate and have some more info and offer some fun with ISIS which we all need more of. Speaking of new recordings, The new ISIS Album In The Absence Of Truth will be out on TUESDAY - October 31, 2006 (Ipecac) To celebrate we will be having a record release party on Monday Oct 30 at the Cha Cha in LA. We will be giving a few limited edition special copies of the new disc away at the beginning of the night a well as a raffle give away later in the evening for the late comers. We also have some "textile gifts" that we'll be handing out as well as selling some stuff for those who didn't receive the free goods. We will also be playing the record a few times through the Cha Cha's PA as well as some special DJ sets.... and perhaps a surprise host.... The Cha Cha is located at 2375 Glendale Blvd in Silver Lake (near the corner of Glendale and Silver Lake Blvd, across from the Red Lion). We plan on starting at 9pm and there is no cover or ticket needed to enter. You will need some money for the evenings $1.50 tap PBR special and the bar's foos ball tables and photo booth (there will be some damn good foos ball players there by the way). We WILL NOT be performing that evening just celebrating with good friends. So if you can come on down to see and hear what we've come up with. It's looking like it will be a pretty fun evening and if you haven't been to our favorite bar the Cha Cha yet you're really in for a treat! We also have a couple other new releases that are out now so check it out... The new ISIS DVD "Clearing The Eye" (Ipecac) And the ISIS / Aereogramme "In the Fishtank" CD (Konkurrent) We are also in the midst of sorting out our touring schedule for the new year which will include the good ol' US and A, Australia, Japan, the UK, and Europe.
